July 31, 2012 Old Rochester Farmers' Market, Week 9

The variety at tomorrow's market is worth the visit to the market.  Each week our farmers keep surprising us with new and wonderful produce.  Last week artichokes, wineberries, corn and peaches were the items shoppers were abuzz about.  This week will bring along that same buzz, with wonderful, fresh and vibrant foods waiting to fill your re-usable shopping bags.  As always, we have a great group of musicians to provide us with some fun, family entertainment while we get that all important grocery shopping done.  We look forward to seeing you between 3-7pm at the market.  If you arrive early, please remember to hold your purchases until 3pm--it gives everyone a chance to get set up in time for the market opening.  Thank you.

At this week's market you will find:

Allen Farms, Westport, MA Certified Organic
Allen Farms brings a variety of greenhouse greens, herbs, fresh cut lavender and potted herbs. Deb will have more of the fun and decorative cut and grow lettuce hanging pots.  It isn't too late to plant herb plants for a harvest this year--you can still get some of Deb's greenhouse grown and hardy herb plants (marjoram, basil, thyme and more).  This week she will also have basil plants for all of those delicious summer time drink recipes you have been wanting to try.  Wineberries and her amazingly sweet tomatoes will be at the Allen Farms tent, too.
