May 10, 2011 Old Rochester Farmers' Market


Spring has certainly now sprung! The beautiful spring flowers begin to remind us of the gorgeous colors that will continue to awake as the growing season progresses. Week Three of the Old Rochester Farmers' Market is arriving soon, and the Farmers' Market is ready with the bounty of Spring. May 10, 2011 from 3-6pm local farmers and food producers will meet up at Old Rochester Junior High School to offer delicious foods to market-goers. This week's market offers you:

Allen Farm (Organic, Westport) Fresh Greenhouse Grown Greens, Potted Herbs
Engelnook Farm (Pesticide-free, Rochester) Farm fresh eggs, Great Hill Blue Cheese, Llama Manure
J. H. Beaulieu Livestock and Produce Farm (Naturally grown field raised beef, Fairhaven) *May not participate this week if stock is depleted--we'll keep you posted.*
Lucky Field Organics (Organic, Rochester) Root vegetables, Vegetable starts, Potted flowers, Fresh Herbs and Greens

Narragansett Creamery (Providence, RI) A wide array of Freshly Made Cheeses and Yogurt--This is Narragansett's last week at our market, so if you haven't tried their cheeses yet, stop on by the table to try a sample and bring some home. Very yummy, and locally made! After this week's market, Engelnook Farm will offer their cheeses. So if you are already in the know, not to worry--you can still get it.
