A weekly market shopper recommended a children's book, The Vegetables We Eat by Gail Gibbons. The descriptions and illustrations this book brings the young reader are fantastic. It discusses the various types of vegetables and their characteristics (root, leaf, stem, fruit, flower, bulb, tuber, seed)as well as how they're brought from the field to your table. A good resource for sharing the wonders of vegetables with little ones.
